  • Yes, payment plans can be arranged through our Business Office.

  • No, students of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome at Oblate.

  • Our master programs can be completed in two years of full-time study. Students may study on a part-time basis. The minimum time for our doctoral-level degree completion is three years; the normal maximum time for completion is six years after matriculation.

  • You can review tuition costs and fees for OST here.

  • All undergraduate majors are considered and welcome to apply. While a strong philosophy/religious studies background is very helpful, our students come from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.

  • The ratio is 7 to 1. The average class size is 10 students.

  • No. Once you start your application, you will create a login and be able to access your work at any point.

  • Submit official transcripts from all colleges attended, undergraduate and graduate, reflecting degree(s) received from an accredited U.S. institution or equivalent training at an institution outside the U.S. sent directly to the attention of the Registrar. Student copies are not acceptable.

  • Yes. Oblate School of Theology was incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas on April 18, 1950, and is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as an accredited institution of higher education. The School is approved by the Texas Workforce Commission for the training of persons receiving Veterans Administration benefits and by the Department of Homeland Security for non-quota foreign students.

    Oblate School of Theology is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada. The following degree programs are approved by the Commission on Accrediting:

    The program is also approved for a Comprehensive Distance Education Program.
